Ice is still building everyday now When will winter ever end?

I am looking forward to pursuing  – Walleyes. I feel Green Bay and even the Fox River  will be locked in ice until the end of April. The rivers of the Winnebago system will open up a lot sooner to fish out of the boat. But ice fishing continues to be doing well.

White fishing on the bay has been good. Most trips are doing very well with a occasional slower day with only 15 fish or so being caught. I am starting to see walleyes on the cameras and am starting to target them with tipups and buckshot spoons and jigging raps. I also am going to head up to northern Wisconsin when the snow settles to catch some panfish– crappies and Bluegills. Those trips are available on a limited basis.
