9-9-15 Green Bay

I fished with Randy and Jason on Green Bay. We did well today as we caught over 22 walleyes trolling and casting and Jigging. We fished the east, West and out deep( middle of the bay as well)

We used crawler harness rigs and did better today on walleyes than when we ran crank baits. Gold blades and red beads where key today.

Crank baits– Husky jerk  #12, flicker minnows 7, 8, 9 ‘s.  tended to really attract sheep today.

we covered a lot of water as I wanted to show Randy as many spots as I could with day we had.  So we had a great day catching and learning new spots!photo (13) photo 1 (1) photo 2 (1) photo 3 (1) photo 4 (1) photo 5 (1)

Green bay 9-6-2015

Walleye fishing both the East and West shores for walleyes has been a lot of fun!

Fish are relating to food deep ( minnow schools) and structure Rocks (Gobies) trolling and Jigging . Early or late is best for the jig bite.

Spinner rigs and crank baits both work- try baits long bodies and short bodied baits until the fish show a preference.

clear water may be tougher to find after the heavy rains depending on the currents.
