Report for June 18th Lake Winnebago

P1030049 P1030050 P1030054 P1030056

Late report.

My guys have been doing well walleye fishing. Jigging finesse and casting both jigs and crank baits.Limits of nice fish are not uncommon.

There are several types of jigging-plumb lines, drag bites, casted bites and rippin that all work every day on old Bago.

There are definitely a lot of small fish in the system( it is a blessing but annoying too!) If you are getting a lot of shorty walleyes in one spot time to move.

There are a lot of larger year class fish out there in the 18- 24 inches, but you have to keep moving and try different depths and areas to get on the fish you want to catch.

I had Mark and Dave out on Thursday. We tried many spots and depths and finally got into some big fish 18 -24 inches with jigs, crawlers leeches and crank baits.

If you are looking to become a better fisherman or catch some nice fish come spend a day with me. In 6 months it will be almost Christmas! Get out there and have fun! Catch, and learn!

I have a opening on Friday for 1 and whole day next weekend for 2. Give me a call or email me. I am personally doing better down here jigging versus trolling!!

June 10th and 11th( Green Bay today Winnebago the 10th)

Latest report.

We fished a variety of spots and found a active school in 5 to 10 fow running dark colored # 5 flicker shads. Rain cut our trip a little short but we had enough fish. Jennifer and Bryan had a blast and nobody got sea sick when the Green Bay kicked up.

I have been fishing Winnebago and took a break to fish Green Bay this morning.

I am Jig fishing for Walleyes only on Winnebago, no trolling. Last 2 pictures are from Bago this week. So much fun!

If you want to get out with me I have some openings Mid week give me a call.

June 7th Winnebago

Latest news: Report for Sunday after the rain.

We had a great afternoon jigging with plastics on Winnebago after the storms for walleyes. We caught 14 nice fish in a few hours;
real quality fish! I fished 6 to 15 fow on and off structure.

The trolling bite has been poor but the jig bite is far exceeding trolling for me this week. Lines are always fouled with sheep, tiny whites and even a lot of very small walleyes.

I often see the guys trolling one line out there and there is a couple of reasons for that- Depth control on structure and junk fish!I troll Green Bay a lot and Winnebago very little. Sometimes with trolling less means more really.

One would think that more lines trolled simultaneously in the water means more fish. Sometimes it does and sometimes not. This is when you need to try another way to fish I believe. I do this all the time on Bago, by finesse fishing–jigs and casting live bait and plastics for walleyes. 1/8 oz jigs, even some unorthodox plastics used for bass.
I have a opening Wednesday and one this weekend give me a call or email.

June 5th Lake Winnebago

Latest News

Walleye fishing was very good with a tough bite trolling and a much easier bite jigging. We landed over 20 Walleyes today

Fished with Gary and Kurt and we tried about 5 areas and keyed in on the big waves and structure in 5 to 10 fow. Trolling was dead end so we switched to jigging and did well.

We fished weeds, Structure and deep edges and caught fish everywhere. 1/4 oz jigs crawlers and leeches.

Bago had 3 footers, wind and clouds — Perfect walleye conditions.

If you are looking to get out and catch fish or add to your fishing knowledge you should fish with me and jig fish!
