May 23 Green Bay

I walleye fished Green Bay with some a young man age 6 Ben and his Dad and Grandpa.

We caught over 20 walleyes and a musky. We moved a lot to find active fish and used crank baits # 5 shad Raps in 10 fow.

Speed way near 2 mph.

If you are looking to take a kid fishing or a father’s day gift come fish with me and learn how and where catch Walleyes.

Warmer temperatures has changed the bite for the better. I did a crappie trip on a local lake and we did well. crappies Pike and Small mouth Bass. I also did a trip to the Wolf for White Bass that had only males spawning at this time with a group from Kansas.

Saturday we ended up catching over 30 walleyes.

I started deep on The West shore in 18 fow with #5 #6 Bloody frog flicker shads ran deep 80 to 130 feet of line and ended up with some nice fish Alex caught a nice 28 inch walleye the biggest he has ever caught. Darker colors worked. The wind got bad and big waves were not so fun. So I hit the East shore at noon.

We jigged for walleyes and ended up with 8 walleyes that way and another 20 fish trolling. The depths were 9 to 3 fow.

If you want to get out and fish with me email or text/call. I can sometimes set you up with another guy to split the trip $. I usually take 2-3 out with me.

Latest News:

Today was a example of walleye fishing in ways you never plan. Trolling was only happening for Sheep in my boat.

My Dad just turned 73 on May 1 and joined me for the day driving up from Milwaukee and the drive was well worth it. We had a incredible jig bite on Green Bay. What a ton of fun we had.

We released quite a few along with what we kept!–Secret-SLOW .

What a great fish fry tonight and I have never seen Dad happier fighting some great fish on the spinning rods. Orange and Chartreuse worked well today.

5/2 opening weekend of fishing Green Bay,Wi

Latest News

Opening weekend started well with lots of walleyes being caught both Saturday and Sunday. The bite is tough but trying a variety of tactics has been working. Wind has been severe really. So trolling was the best option.Limiting out on all trips so far.It was too windy to run harnesses– we tried.

Crank baits dark colors blue or purple are the best in my boat.

The walleyes we caught in the lower bay were shallow in 3 to 9 fow. Good luck out there. If you want to join me for a day give me a call or email.
