Last week we had a cold front that brought water temps from 61 degrees to 55 degrees virtually over night. The bite was tough and the walleyes moved deeper .
Warmer temperatures has changed the bite for the better. I did a crappie trip on a local lake and we did well. crappies Pike and Small mouth Bass. I also did a trip to the Wolf for White Bass that had only males spawning at this time with a group from Kansas.
Saturday we ended up catching over 30 walleyes.
I started deep on The West shore in 18 fow with #5 #6 Bloody frog flicker shads ran deep 80 to 130 feet of line and ended up with some nice fish Alex caught a nice 28 inch walleye the biggest he has ever caught. Darker colors worked. The wind got bad and big waves were not so fun. So I hit the East shore at noon.
We jigged for walleyes and ended up with 8 walleyes that way and another 20 fish trolling. The depths were 9 to 3 fow.
If you want to get out and fish with me email or text/call. I can sometimes set you up with another guy to split the trip $. I usually take 2-3 out with me.
