Green & Gold Guide Service is a fishing guide service located in Green Bay, Wisconsin run by Captain Jim Kleist. Green And Gold Guide Service fishes 9 months a year.

Green Bay is a famous World Class fishing destination. My goal is to give you the best trip you have ever experienced with a guide. If you want me to do all the work and you relax let’s do that. But if you want to learn I will teach you- in walleye fishing school out on the water with Jim Kleist.

All my trips are walleye school lessons wether you go on a 4 hours and 8 hour trip. Some guides do not do this but I do. I also prefer 8 hour trips.

Why choose me versus another guide you ask? Simply I love to teach you to catch more fish. Green and Gold Guide Service mantra is “where real fish stories are born.”

Learning to proficiently use a wide variety of fishing techniques will help you catch more fish for sure. For example-slip bobbers, casting shiver minnows, hair jigs, paddle tails and other plastics , I even use a variety of specialized crank baits that are casted.

I specialize with jigging/casting , but trolling is one of the best methods to catch a lot of walleyes and is a ton of fun! I can teach you how to use electronics to find walleyes. I can’t wait to show you all of these excellent options on Green Bay Walleyes.

Half day trips are available but the emphasis is on learning not necessarily focused on just catching fish. Walleyes are notorious to be very picky eaters and that is because they only bite in certain feeding windows of time.

My favorite personal trips are all day trips because then we have time to best take advantage of these walleye feeding windows. If you think about it, people don’t eat every hour and either do walleyes!

What To Bring

Wisconsin fishing license
WI DNR requires a paper copy of your fishing license be in your possession
Proper clothing (rain gear, wind breaker, layers)
Your own lunch
A cooler to take home all your fish
Your camera to record all the memories

If you do not have a Wisconsin fishing license, you may buy and print one online at the DNR web site.

I supply rods and baits tackle or you many bring your favorite rod(s). You are responsible for damage to my rods, so please be careful.

No alcohol may be consumed on the boat for legal and safety concerns.
